Review for “Lover” #3 book in the Series Betrothed by Penelope Sky. OMG! Penelope has outdone herself with this 3rd book “Lover” in the betrothed series. Sofia and Hades built a beautiful life for themselves. In “Husband” last book Damien, Hades best friend, went rogue against what Hades orders which was more than once. When Damien’s mistakes got himself caught then Maddox makes Hades pay dearly for what Damien did. Maddox does horrific, unmentionable and painful acts against Hades and Sofia both. Hades would give anything to protect Sofia. Hades almost dies saving his wife, Sofia. Now that Hades has healed physically they try to go on with their lives as usual. But Sofia keeps what happened to her instead of telling her husband. Hades doesn’t want to talk about his experience either. She confides in his best friend whom Hades now hates. What was supposed to be the happiest news became some very scary months. But Hades always knew it was going to work out knowing what the future and what it holds that came from the Gypsy from years ago I keeps coming true. Sofia and Hades want Maddox dead for all the atrocities he‘d done to them. Ash and Damien partner up with them to take him down. But a very unimaginable series of events happened to make Hades and Maddox business partners. Sofia worries about her safety because now more is at stake. Can he still keep her safe or will she take drastic measures for her peace of mind and a different kind of safety? I was shocked and devastated at the twists and turns this story takes. Penelope Sky has me cringing, laughing, scared for them and crying throughout these books. I did not want this story to end. I want more of their story and can’t wait until the next book comes out to see what she has in store for us!

I heard from a few people that Lover would be a heart breaker and it definitely was. I was filled with a lot of mixed emotions throughout the book. I couldn’t decide who side I was on. I sympathize with Damien because I knew he didn’t mean to let what happened to Sofia happen but at the same time it was his fault. He knew what kind of man Maddox was why poke the beast? I want Hades to forgive him but I also understand his resentment and so should Damien. Sofia got the worse end of the deal no matter else happened. Her feelings should have been taken more into consideration. She wasn’t ready and I felt like Hades was too impatient at the end. He was dead wrong to expect Sofia to be okay with what happened at the end too. I was behind her hundred percent. I really hope hades can kill home in the end because Maddox made hades seem really weak in my opinion.

Is it really better to have loved and lost than never loved at all?!

I was terrified to finish this book! That’s a first from me and anything Penelope has written. Just when I thought things were falling into place, here comes old blue eyes...again. Never has a character been harder to get rid of. Maddox is the most hated character in all the series! I wish I could kill him. Ash and Hades find their way back to loving siblings, but Damien drew the short end of this stick. I feel so bad for him. Maddox has them against a wall and I don’t blame Sophia for her decision, but there’s got to be a better way. Protecting Sophia and Andrew are most important now. Who knew such happiness would bring such sorrow. I can’t wait to see how it all ends, hopefully with Maddox fried to a crisp and scattered in a manure factory. Great job, Penelope!!

I was hooked from page one! This book was heartbreaking and suspenseful and even had me with tears in my eyes. Penelope did such a great job of making me feel what her characters were feeling and keeping me drawn in.

Had to skip over most of the book.. I can’t believe she skipped over all the sex scenes! Had a lot of filler crap. Just can’t believe she would create such crap! Clearly looking to cash in on her followers.

I actually even cried in one of the parts of the book because it was so emotional and I just felt for Sofia and Hades. I’m loving this series even though it made me cry and we still have another book with the conclusion of the story. I highly recommend the Betrothed Series.

I was hooked from page one! This book was heartbreaking and suspenseful and even had me with tears in my eyes. Penelope did such a great job of making me feel what her characters were feeling and keeping me drawn in.

This story is heartbreaking feeling what Sofia is feeling almost if I was there listening to her. Penelope sky is brilliant and I can’t get enough of her books! Had to skip over most of the book.. I can’t believe she skipped over all the sex scenes! Had a lot of filler crap. Just can’t believe she would create such crap! Clearly looking to cash in on her followers.

I actually even cried in one of the parts of the book because it was so emotional and I just felt for Sofia and Hades. I’m loving this series even though it made me cry and we still have another book with the conclusion of the story. I highly recommend the Betrothed Series.

Review for “Lover” #3 book in the Series Betrothed by Penelope Sky. OMG! Penelope has outdone herself with this 3rd book “Lover” in the betrothed series. Sofia and Hades built a beautiful life for themselves. In “Husband” last book Damien, Hades best friend, went rogue against what Hades orders which was more than once. When Damien’s mistakes got himself caught then Maddox makes Hades pay dearly for what Damien did. Maddox does horrific, unmentionable and painful acts against Hades and Sofia both. Hades would give anything to protect Sofia. Hades almost dies saving his wife, Sofia. Now that Hades has healed physically they try to go on with their lives as usual. But Sofia keeps what happened to her instead of telling her husband. Hades doesn’t want to talk about his experience either. She confides in his best friend whom Hades now hates. What was supposed to be the happiest news became some very scary months. But Hades always knew it was going to work out knowing what the future and what it holds that came from the Gypsy from years ago I keeps coming true. Sofia and Hades want Maddox dead for all the atrocities he‘d done to them. Ash and Damien partner up with them to take him down. I heard from a few people that Lover would be a heart breaker and it definitely was. I was filled with a lot of mixed emotions throughout the book. I couldn’t decide who side I was on. I sympathize with Damien because I knew he didn’t mean to let what happened to Sofia happen but at the same time it was his fault. He knew what kind of man Maddox was why poke the beast? I want Hades to forgive him but I also understand his resentment and so should Damien. Sofia got the worse end of the deal no matter else happened. Her feelings should have been taken more into consideration. She wasn’t ready and I felt like Hades was too impatient at the end. He was dead wrong to expect Sofia to be okay with what happened at the end too. I was behind her hundred percent. I really hope hades can kill home in the end because Maddox made hades seem really weak in my opinion.

Never has a character been harder to get rid of. Maddox is the most hated character in all the series! I wish I could kill him. Ash and Hades find their way back to loving siblings, but Damien drew the short end of this stick. I feel so bad for him.
